Mainstay/Whyaka

Peaceful, pleasant and the whitest sands you will ever see. The people are friendly, welcoming, and easy to be around. A run in the sand is tough when the sun is at its hottest, but the temptation of pineapple juice or fresh coconut water at the end is enough to keep you going. For the Jaguarthon, we will run from the ballfield in Mainstay through the white sand roads, go pass Red Lock and then head to the Anna Regina and Mainstay Road junction. The return run, around 13.5 miles, will take you along the forest edge and rice fields that are characteristic of the Essequibo Coast.
